When you make an investment on an expensive Automatic Pet Feeder, you expect it to last long enough. But if you are not careful about the usage, it may not be able to do so. Here are some extremely useful tips that will help you out in maintaining the automatic pet feeder in the best condition for a long time-

  • Do not immerse the base unit or the control panel or the power adaptor in water in any condition.
  • Do not place anything on the top of the feeder, no matter how light it is.
  • It is better not to use such feeders with kittens, puppies and dogs or cats with any type of physical disability.
  • Do not allow kids to play around or with the pet feeder.
  • These feeders are designed to be used indoors and not outdoors.
  • Make sure that you check out the condition of the feeder from time to time like the fact whether it is dispensing food properly or not.
  • If your pet likes wet food, make sure that you check whether your feeder has been designed to dispense wet food or not. Otherwise do not use it for moist, wet or canned food.
  • The pet feeder must be placed on a level surface.
  • If you are planning on going on an extended vacation, replace the older batteries with new ones.
  • Do not place any kind of foreign object inside the feeder.
  • Do not use the feeder if the power cord or the plug has been damaged power cord or plug.
